12 Jan Something… anything.

Occasionally it is important just to make something… anything.  Sometimes more is learned by a simple act than by the grand gesture for which you were saving all of your energy.  Keeping your muscles strong is as important as lifting the car when something precious is trapped beneath it.

Everyday you need to be able to wrestle the lid from the jar of jam.

It is for this reason that I have made the first in a 4-part series of shorts entitled The Squeaking Floors (here). Sometimes communication is more difficult than the crippling silence and misunderstandings.

Snow falls on the sleeping bear family as winter toils on around them. There is no need to rush or wake they are safe, bellies full of food, thick fur keeping them warm.  Cold gives them permission to rest and wait for spring.  Some of us do not have that luxury.

It is no longer acceptable to wait. There is no later.  I am focused and ready.  This year is going to be the year of constant production, creation and artistic endeavor.

In 2011 look for:

-more music videos (Chicken Little, The Future etc.)

-more short films made with no money and no crew, on my new flip video

-writing new screenplays

-testing special effects and puppets (APOSTROPHE)

-forming creative partnerships in Nashville

-choosing shark over hibernating bear cub in the snow (sharks must always keep moving, or they will die)
