I had the distinct pleasure of editing this party video for Nora Jane Struthers and The Party Line. The band gathered together in 5 points East Nashville, on Halloween 2012, and invited the costumed and drunken masses in to add a fabulous raucous vibe. Check out these great looks and a great song.

Yep. We are still climbing those charts. CMT 12 PACK fans have voted the Steeldrivers new video for I’ll Be There up from #5 to #3.

I’m not gonna lie guys, that feels great.

Well the newest video of OFF WITH HER HEAD PRODUCTIONS premiered this week on CMT.com’s front page, and everyone is talking about it ending up on television, in the next few weeks. So keep your fingers crossed for that.

We had a great time working with the STEELDRIVERS. Check out their new album, also out this week.

Thanks to ROUNDER RECORDS, AMY and DILLION SMITH, MACKENZIE SMITH, NORA JANE STRUTHERS, ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE BAND, BEAR (the dog), and most of all CHRIS DURAI. This could not have been done without your help.

Upcoming Video for SteelDrivers

Here’s something to look forward to:

Chris Durai, Mackenzie Smith, Nora Jane Struthers, Dillion and Amy Smith, all the folks that make up Nashville based band, The SteelDrivers, and myself, came together for 2 cold days last month, to shoot a dark and ghostly music video for the song I’ll Be There. The album will be out February and the video should be done late January.

2012 wrap up

I’ve fallen down on the job of keeping the world up to date on projects and things for the end of 2012.
Let’s recap:
-Did a short informational video for Wonderful Life Foundation based out of Nashville

-Shot a short EPK for LA BACHMAN which we will release this month (teaser)

-Spent a long tiring month helping out on the set of THE IDENTICAL a new movie that shot in Nashville

All in all 2012 wrapped up as one of the better years to date.

Steadfast and True Yoga

Check out these beautiful videos that I had the pleasure of making, with my own steadfast and true camera operator Chris Durai, for Steadfast and True Yoga studio in Edgehill Village, Nashville TN. These videos are an example of Acro yoga (short for Acrobatic), which is basically the most amazing thing you’ll see this side of Cirque De Sole, and it will totally change everything you think you know about yoga.

The Devil made me do it

The new video for Randy Reed and His Problems is up on the website and getting a lot of attention. Randy and I didn’t want to make a predictable music video of kids being rowdy in a bar. We knew, from our first meeting, that we wanted to make sure there was a “twist” of some kind.
This video embodies one of my favorite things about making music videos, which is the deeply collaborative process of being creative with my own voice as well as highlighting the artist, his or her voice, and the creative ideas that he or she brings to the table. It can be tricky sometimes but Randy and I worked really well together and had fun from beginning to end. I think together we created a video that works perfectly with the song, while bringing in something new and unexpected.

Hope it is as much fun to watch as it was to make.

Midnight In MT music video

You guys remember Bearfoot, the incredibly talented band for which I did a music video last year, that made it all the way to CMT? Well they are back with a vengeance. While on the road, driving through Montana, equiped with nothing but their talent and a Flip Camera, they shot a music video for their fantastic song Midnight In Montana. The song has been stuck in my head for weeks since I edited their homemovie-style footage into this video for them. It turned out to be really fun and shows a lot of the band’s personality. Check it out below.

Randy Reed Music Video

In April a handful of foolhardy drunks and good friends (with Craig Hill behind the camera) gathered together at Chagos Cantina to shoot a music video for Randy Reed and His Problems. We called in a lot of favors and made a lot of messes but by 4am we were all proud of what we had accomplished. That is those of us who weren’t too intoxicated to remember the evening, felt proud of it.

I am knee deep in editing this bizarre video now. It’s a little bit country, a little bit dirty and it has a twist ending. That’s all I can say. The video will be up soon, until then here is a little tease, to the upcoming video for “I Don’t Give A Big Fat Flying F#@%$”.

Meet Kat

Meet Katherine Armstrong. She is the subject of my newest film endeavor and my first ever documentary. Last night Chris Durai, trusty DP/camera operator, and I traveled out to Old Hickory, Tennessee, to Kat’s lovely home, for our first shoot.

I am moved by Kat’s story and her willingness to share it with me, as well as allowing me to share it with the world. It leaves me humbled by the responsibility and I strive to be up to the challenge.
